Interim CEO, Director
In 2016, Richard "Rory" O'Connell Jr. joined SITO's board of directors and was Chairman of our Compensation Committee. In 2017, Rory was appointed Interim CEO. From 2010 to 2016, Mr. O'Connell served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Credit Officer of Emergent Capital, Inc., a NYSE-listed specialty-finance business that primarily invests in life settlements. From 2006 until 2009 Mr. O'Connell served as the Chief Financial Officer of RapidAdvance, LLC, and from 2002 until 2005 he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Insurent Agency Corporation. From 2000 until 2001, Mr. O'Connell acted as Securitization Consultant to the Industrial Bank of Japan, and from 1999 until 2000, he served as President of Telomere Capital, LLC. From 1988 until 1998, Mr. O'Connell served in various senior capacities at Enhance Financial Services and its subsidiary, Singer Asset Finance Company, including Chief Operating Officer and President of Singer Asset Finance and Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Enhance Financial Services. Mr. O'Connell received a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management.
Lawrence D. Firestone was appointed as Interim CFO on March 15, 2017 and has a deep background as a senior executive and board member in public and private companies - including CFO experience in public companies. Mr. Firestone is the Chief Executive Officer and President of FirePower Technology, Inc., a provider of power supplies to the high performance computing market. Mr. Firestone is also a member of InterimExecs (interimexecs.com) a service provider of interim executives to fill the immediate needs of companies around the world and he performs interim executive consulting services. Mr. Firestone's public company management experience includes Chief Executive Officer and President of Qualstar Corporation (Symbol: QBAK), Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. (Symbol: AEIS), Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Applied Films Corporation (Symbol: AFCO). Mr. Firestone's public company board experience includes CVD Equipment (Symbol: CVV), Qualstar Corporation (Symbol: QBAK), Amtech Systems, Inc. (Symbol: ASYS) and Hyperspace Communications, Inc. (Symbol: HCO).
Chief Operating Officer
Jon Lowen is SITO’s COO and is responsible for the growth of SITO's technology products and operational teams who oversee the day-to-day advertising campaigns. Jon was formerly SITO’s Executive Vice President of Operations and Product Development. Prior to SITO, he ran operations at DoubleVision, a mobile DSP, doubling the team and increasing revenue by over 6x, which led to an acquisition by SITO. Mr. Lowen has spent his entire career in the advertising technology space having previously been the Chief Operating Officer at Outdoor Hub, now Carbon Media Group, the largest outdoor sports digital media company. As COO, he was instrumental in building the company from scratch and increased profitability year over year which led to a round of recapitalization in 2010 with a large Venture Capital firm in Chicago. Mr. Lowen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from The University of Michigan.
Chief Technology Officer
Michael Blanche is SITO's CTO and is responsible for leading the next phase of innovation and growth for the company, focusing on identifying opportunities and developing technology that result in a competitive advantage and deliver return on investment. Michael joined SITO Mobile at the start of 2015 following his role as Head of Product at Momentum, a successful SaaS based education platform. His agile development approach, cloud expertise and experience developing highly innovative customer-focused outcomes has played a critical role in driving the company’s success.
Chief Revenue Officer
Adam Meshekow is SITO's CRO and is responsible for all existing and new revenue streams. Previously, Adam was EVP of Global Sales & Strategy since February 2014. Prior to SITO Mobile, Mr. Meshekow was responsible for mobile marketing and brand management at Toys “R” Us, the largest toy and juvenile products-focused retailer in the world. At Toys “R” Us he built the mobile marketing business and drove more than $100 million in sales through mobile coupons, rewards and other digital tactics. Mr. Meshekow is considered an expert and valued thought leader in the digital mobile marketplace and is an active advisor to digital marketing companies including Kiip, a mobile engagement platform.
Senior Vice President of Investor Relations
Mr. Wilkinson, a seasoned investor relations executive, was previously Vice President of Investor Relations at Millennial Media. While at Millennial, he was instrumental in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with both buy and sell side analysts from its IPO through several strategic acquisitions, culminating with its eventual sale to AOL/Verizon. Prior to this role, Mr. Wilkinson was Vice President of Investor Relations for XM Satellite Radio.
